I’ve finally recovered from The Guitar Show 2024, by far one of the biggest and busiest events I do each year. Its up there as one of my favourites, for loads of reasons. The people, my friends, collectors who have become friends, the exhibitors, the twice daily journey to Birmingham from Cheshire for 3 days (its cheaper to drive each day!), the manic prep in the lead up, the noise… yep, its loud!, the stress of loading and unloading, the lovely venue staff and security, the weird dreams in the lead up about random stuff.. so much goes on behind the scenes of these events and then the actual event itself is two solid days of being on your feet with very little or no opportunity for a comfort break.. AND I LOVE IT ALL!! Its probably one of the shows where I feel most at home and myself. i’m already working towards 2025, such alot to think about already…
Thank you so VERY much to everyone that supports my edeavours and travels, and especially to the organisers for allowing me to be part of their shows. Its not as simple as paying your money and turning up, usually traders/exhibitors are vetted prior to booking, are we presentable? relevent? they have alot to consider and I am thankful they allow me to attend.
